| Experience: | Dear parent, In 2009 I received my bachelor of sciences in Mathematics and Computer Science. Halfway to my graduation I started the certification process to teach high school math. After several educational classes and classroom observations I decided to switch directions and instead put all of my efforts into private one-on-one tutoring. I had been a part-time math tutor throughout my last 2 years of college and I also worked at Sylvan so I had some experience. In late 2009 after graduating I came to Colorado with my wife to tutor full-time. Now I have over 5 years of in-center and private in-home tutoring. Mathematics has always been a passion of mine and helping students understand it is my goal. I am very patient and my teaching style is straight-forward and traditional. I work one-on-one with students and teach by example. Once the student understands the concepts practice is a must. Some other credentials of mine include being on the Dean's List 9 semesters in college and graduated with program distinction. I have a BS in Mathematics and a BS in Computer Science. My 2007 Math Praxis scores were 185/190. Typically I see students 1 to hours 2 per week in their home. I help students complete homework, understand lessons and concepts, review lessons, and study for and correct tests/quizzes. I also help students get organized and teach study skills.
